take your watch to H Samuels, i take my imported seiko to them, but be warned it can be very expensive, eg i pay £48 to have the watch resealed when the battery needs replacing.

Chronograph has stopwatch and normal continuous time too, subdials show permanent seconds, stopwatch minutes and stopwatch hours usually, some show 1/10 seconds, some chronographs have just 2 subdials, moonphase watch have subdial have small moon show if moon is new, first quarter, half full, second quarter or full set it use calendar.

I have seem this feature in most watches but what are the functions of a chronograph in real life???
A chronograph is not a thing. It is a description.
The name is given to timekeeping devices which are particularly accurate. An expensive wrist watch using a quartz crystal would qualify for this description.
Personally, I never buy a watch without this word on it.

I noticed that the chronograph function is not working, it’s just frozen and I cannot pull the button out to fix the timing for the chronograph. Does this means is fake?

It may just be a broken watch. What brand is it? Do you have the instruction manual(you may be able to download it). If you got a cheap watch, it may never have had a working chronograph to begin with. Knowing the brand and how you got it would be helpful.
